AUS40 supply at Cochin
Cochin combines container transhipment at the Vallarpadam terminal with liquid and general cargo facilities and an established bunkering trade, spread across Willingdon Island, Vallarpadam and Puthuvypeen.
Identify the berth, terminal or anchorage and the local agent. If the request relates to a nearby terminal, state its name explicitly so access can be assessed.
What decides feasibility at Cochin
The facilities are physically separate parts of the port with their own access routes, so "Cochin" names a region and not a single delivery point. The bunkering trade means service craft and stores movements are routine here, but that convenience only applies once the actual location is identified.
Confirm these before the enquiry:
- Which part of the port: Vallarpadam, Willingdon Island, Puthuvypeen or anchorage.
- The berth or anchorage position.
- Whether the delivery is to be made alongside or by craft.
- The local agent appointed for the call.
Berth-side or barge delivery
PROTICKS provides barge delivery where berth or jetty-side supply is not accessible, subject to a suitable craft, port and terminal permission, vessel acceptance and weather.
Distinguish the Cochin receiving facility from a nearby container, oil or LNG terminal, or an offshore mooring. A road-tanker quote for one facility is not access approval for another. Ask for barge assessment against the actual vessel position.
For this call: Terminal or offshore position; port and terminal permission for marine supply; hazardous-area equipment and cargo-operation restrictions where applicable.
Neither an electric pump nor a fuel-engine pump is automatically permitted in a sensitive area. Confirm the terminal-approved equipment before dispatch. Barge delivery does not bypass cargo-operation or safety restrictions.
Planning the notice period
Name the facility rather than the city. Cochin covers several separate places, and a plan made for one of them does not transfer to another.

Send the vessel requirement
- Vessel name and IMO number if available.
- Port, terminal, berth or anchorage position.
- ETA, ETB and ETD with date and time zone.
- Quantity, preferred format and usable receiving capacity.
- Local agent, company contact, documentation requirements, and whether you want PROTICKS to carry out the transfer.
Packaging & transfer
Choose 210 L drums, 1,000 L IBCs or an agreed bulk / ISO tank arrangement. Packaging does not determine the delivery route: road, barge or boat access must be assessed separately. Ask for pump kit, hoses, couplings, calibrated flow meter and personnel if needed, subject to terminal and vessel acceptance.
Product & paperwork
PROTICKS AUS40 is ISO 18611 certified and meets the requirements of IS 17661 (Part 1):2022. Check whether the vessel is specified for AUS40 or AUS32, then check the batch Certificate of Analysis and current MSDS before approving supply. Product-document checklist.
Cochin: common questions
Which part of Cochin port will the delivery go to?
That is exactly what the enquiry needs to establish. Vallarpadam, Willingdon Island and Puthuvypeen are separate locations with separate access. Name the one on the call instructions.
Cochin is a bunkering port. Does that make AUS40 supply easier?
The established stores and service traffic helps, but AUS40 is not bunker fuel and is not supplied through the bunkering chain. It still needs its own delivery arrangement, quantity and documentation agreed in advance.
How much notice does a Cochin call need?
As much as your schedule allows. Confirm the requirement when the call is fixed, before arrival, so quantity, format and the receiving arrangement can all be settled before dispatch.
