Where do I find my dosing rate?

In order of reliability: the vessel’s measured AUS40 consumption over known operating hours; the SCR system manual or OEM technical documentation; or the engine builder’s NOx technical file. Ask the chief engineer or your technical superintendent. It is not a figure to estimate from a website.

If your rate is given in g/kWh instead of L/MWh, convert it using the density of the supplied product before entering it. Do not enter a mass-based rate into a volume field.

The calculation

Engine power (kW) × load fraction × operating hours ÷ 1,000 gives energy in MWh. Multiply by the entered L/MWh dosing rate, add the chosen reserve, then subtract usable stock. The additional requirement cannot be below zero.
