AUS40 supply at Mundra

Mundra handles container, dry bulk and liquid cargo across separately operated terminals and is among the busiest commercial ports on the Indian west coast. Deep-sea container tonnage on Far East and Europe strings calls here alongside bulk carriers and tankers, so SCR-fitted vessels are a routine sight.

Confirm the terminal and berth, since the port name alone is not enough. For a short container call, include any restrictions on simultaneous stores delivery and cargo work.

What decides feasibility at Mundra

The terminals operate independently of one another. Gate procedures, escort requirements and the hours in which stores may be taken are set at terminal level, not port level, so the terminal name matters more here than the port name. A container call may also leave only a short window between completion of cargo work and departure.

Confirm these before the enquiry:

  • The container or bulk terminal by name, and the allocated berth.
  • Whether stores delivery is permitted while cargo operations are in progress.
  • Gate and escort requirements for a road vehicle entering that terminal.
  • Who receives and signs for the delivery: vessel, agent or terminal.

Berth-side or barge delivery

PROTICKS provides barge delivery where berth or jetty-side supply is not accessible, subject to a suitable craft, port and terminal permission, vessel acceptance and weather.

Separate a Mundra terminal berth from an offshore mooring call. Check the actual berth’s road access before selecting a tanker. If water-side delivery is needed, ask the terminal to confirm whether and when a supply barge may come alongside.

For this call: Terminal and berth or mooring; cargo-operation conflicts; access and pump approvals for the receiving location.

Neither an electric pump nor a fuel-engine pump is automatically permitted in a sensitive area. Confirm the terminal-approved equipment before dispatch. Barge delivery does not bypass cargo-operation or safety restrictions.

Planning the notice period

Send the terminal name and berth as soon as they are allocated, and say whether cargo work leaves any window. Notice given against the port alone cannot be acted on.

Send the vessel requirement

  • Vessel name and IMO number if available.
  • Port, terminal, berth or anchorage position.
  • ETA, ETB and ETD with date and time zone.
  • Quantity, preferred format and usable receiving capacity.
  • Local agent, company contact, documentation requirements, and whether you want PROTICKS to carry out the transfer.

Packaging & transfer

Choose 210 L drums, 1,000 L IBCs or an agreed bulk / ISO tank arrangement. Packaging does not determine the delivery route: road, barge or boat access must be assessed separately. Ask for pump kit, hoses, couplings, calibrated flow meter and personnel if needed, subject to terminal and vessel acceptance.

Review delivery and transfer planning.

Product & paperwork

PROTICKS AUS40 is ISO 18611 certified and meets the requirements of IS 17661 (Part 1):2022. Check whether the vessel is specified for AUS40 or AUS32, then check the batch Certificate of Analysis and current MSDS before approving supply. Product-document checklist.

Mundra: common questions

Can AUS40 be delivered at Mundra during container operations?

That depends on the terminal, not on the port. Some terminals permit stores delivery alongside cargo work and some do not. Ask your agent to confirm the rule for the specific terminal before the call, because it changes what the delivery window looks like.

Which Mundra terminal should I name in the enquiry?

Whichever one appears on the vessel call instructions. Mundra covers container, dry bulk and liquid facilities under one port name, and access is assessed per terminal, so "Mundra" alone is not enough to plan a delivery.

How much notice does a Mundra call need?

Send the terminal, arrival window and quantity as soon as the call is fixed and we will confirm what is workable for that call.
